About Me
Marcus Hendricks
Nut Trees & Edible Gardening Researcher
I'm a lifelong gardening enthusiast with a particular obsession for nut-bearing trees and how they adapt across different climates. Over the past fifteen years, I've grown everything from walnuts and chestnuts in the Northeast to experimenting with cashews and macadamias in warmer microclimates. What started as a personal project to understand why certain nuts thrive in some regions but fail in others evolved into a passion for teaching others. I maintain a small test plot with fifteen different nut species, keep detailed growing notes, and spend most weekends either propagating seedlings or updating my research files. My border collie, Nutkin, usually tags along to the garden.
